Continuing our proud history of world firsts, Kaleida was honoured to create the world’s first large-scale interactive hologram for the biggest film premiere of the year, featuring a live interactive conversation between Ryan Gosling and a hologram of Rocky, the alien hero of Project Hail Mary.
Kaleida was fully responsible for designing, building, staging and lighting the hologram, which greeted guests to the Hail Mary’s premiere at the Lincoln Centre in New York.
Kaleida was also responsible for animating and lighting the super-detailed assets of Rocky, and Grace and Rocky’s spacecrafts (built, respectively, by Framestore and ILM), and for showrunning the live, fully interactive conversation between Ryan Gosling, appearing in person, and the hologram of Rocky.
