Kaleida brought the Lord of Hatred himself to gaming’s biggest stage. At The Game Awards 2025, we created a towering 40-foot hologram of Mephisto that rose from the stage floor, interrupted the ceremony, and locked eyes with both the live audience and viewers at home, delivering sharp trash talk before launching the worldwide premiere of the Diablo IV expansion pack cinematic.

Kaleida was responsible for the full activation: designing and building the holographic system, staging and lighting the performance, animating the highly detailed Mephisto asset, and delivering the live show that turned a standard awards segment into a moment of pure Diablo chaos.

The Game Awards 2025 reached an estimated 171 million global livestreams, setting a new record for the event and making this the most viewed live hologram of all time!
